Stan Store is much more than a link-in-bio tool.
I love the features that they provide, and that you can easily test out different monetization strategies(memberships, coaching, courses, digital downloads) all in the same place.
This platform was obviously built with social media influencers and creators in mind.

Stan Store vs Competitors
It is quite difficult to compare stan store to competitors as many tools provide different features. Payhip is probably the closest competitor as you can also sell digital downloads, coaching and course there. I actually prefer how Stan Store landing pages look but they are both easy to use and have similar pricing models.
Lots of people want to how different competitors compare to different features of Stan Store but I’ll just say this:
Stan Store is the best overall platform for creators to make money.

Because it is easy to use and not prohibitively expensive.

Stan Store Pricing
Stan Store does not offer a free plan. The basic plan is called the Cretor plan and costs $29 per month. This will get you started and gives you access to most of the features you need(landing page, to sell digital products etc).
Stan Store does not take a commission on your sales which makes a huge difference if you start selling a lot of products(you can do this!).
The Creator Pro plan is more expensive($99 per month) and offers more advanced features for more advanced creators. Read more about Stan Store Pricing here.
Stan Store Pros and Cons
Here are my pros and cons of Stan Store.
Pros:
- No commissions on sales
- Easy to use
- Nice landing pages and good UX for users
- Exactly the features creators need to get started(no drowning in unnecessary features)
Cons:
- No free plan
- No way to engage a community(use skool for this)
- Online courses creation is a bit basic for some educators

To get started, sign up for for stan store here.
Next, click the Sign Up button in the top right-hand corner and fill out your information.
You can choose between two options to use Stan Store; Creator and Creator Pro. I recommend starting with the cheaper option(Creator) to get started and see if you need the extra options that come with Creator Pro later.
You will then be asked a few questions about your business like “what niche are you in” and your TikTok and Instagram handles.
Once you have finished the questions and payment plans, you then come to your dashboard, this is where you can create your products and see your analytics.
I will now show you how other features in Stan Store work.
Creating a Landing Page with Stan Store
To create your landing page with Stan Store, all you need to do is go to “My Store”
The first thing you should do is to upload your profile photo. Make sure the photo matches your social media photo so people are not confused about who you are.
Next up, you should fill out your bio, keep it simple and explain clearly what customers you serve.
Save that and next, we can choose the theme of your store,
Click Edit Design and you can pick a theme and choose the colors and fonts that you want.

Creating Digital Products and Courses with Stan Store
To create your first product, go back to the dashboard, You can choose the product you want to sell and I recommend starting with digital products as it will be easier for you to create than something like a course.
Create a thumbnail in Canva(size 400×400) and give an enticing title to your product.
You then need to fill in the information in the checkout tab.

Affiliate Marketing with Stan Store
Affiliate Marketing is when you sign up people to purchase a product or service and you earn a commission.
If you want to link directly from your landing page to a product, you can create a new digital product and just set the price to free, and redirect to URL(put your affiliate link here).
You can also add affiliate links inside your digital products. One strategy that many creators use is to create a free resource like an ebook and add affiliate links where it makes sense.

Email Marketing with Stan Store
Stan store also provides email marketing to the customers that buy from you. This is super handy as people who buy from you once are more likely to buy from you again.
This is called “Email flows” and you can also upsell other more expensive products to your audience at a later date, send automatic emails with instructions or just say thanks for buying.
Stan Store is not for starting an email newsletter(where you send out regular emails about a specific topic to a large number of people). For this I use Beehiiv.
Stan Store vs LinkTree
Link Tree is the main competitor to Stan Store but it is much more limited. I personally prefer the User Interface on Stan Store and the fact that you can also sell online courses(a great way to add extra income)
Linktree may seem cheaper but you actually have to pay if you want to do basic things like collect emails. They are also not super clear about the commission they charge. It basically says “free for a limited time” on their website. Read more about Stan Store vs LinkTree here.
Final Thoughts
Signing up for Stan Store is a no vrainer for creators who really want to make money online. There are creators who are making 6 figures with their stan store. It is easy to use and get started so you can get started working on your social media content.
